I arrived safely in Washington ~ I sat next to a woman with an adorable baby on the plane, who (amazingly, and thankfully) did not cry except for the first 5 minutes or so. So that was nice. (:
I have gotten a lot of knitting and reading done since arriving here, since that is what I’m spending most of my time doing (aside from spending time with my grandparents, of course). I’m almost done with my scarf (which is probably going to be longer than I am tall) and I am also almost finished with the first third of 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami (I bought the 3-book paperback edition so I wouldn’t have to carry around the hardback 900+ page edition). But I didn’t bring the 2nd part…;___; But I brought Animal Farm (George Orwell) with me as well, so I should be fine. (: I also have lots of summer homework to keep me occupied as well…
I rode a horse for the first time in four years yesterday. It was really fun, but when he (the horse) first started trotting, I panicked and cried and had to stop for a few minutes… TT___TT (I know, I know…I’m a wuss) but after that it was alright. We went out again today on the big pasture (9 acres! wow! my house is only on 1/2 acre..) for a while and then we all hung out. My grandma just went into town to mail something, which is why I am quickly updating this, so I don’t have to use the time I’m spending with her to update my blog..
I am probably not going to be on the computer much (if at all) for the rest of the trip. I am going up to Vancouver on Friday or Saturday, so I’m excited for that!!
Even though I won’t be updating my blog for the remainder of the trip, I will probably be updating my twitter every so often since I can do that via text messages on my phone.
